Submarine Tours

Back in 1986 the world’s first tourist submarine operation took place in Grand Cayman. The launch of Atlantis I was a highly successful operation which attracted worldwide interest.

22 years later, the same company which operated Atlantis I now carries millions of passengers on undersea adventures aboard its 48 and 64 passenger submarines with a fleet size that puts many of the worlds navy fleets to shame. Atlantis subs can be found in Grand Cayman, Barbados, St. Thomas, Aruba, Guam, Cozumel, and on the Hawaii Islands of Kona, Maui and Oahu.

The most impressive member of the fleet is the Atlantis XIV, which operates off Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. This sub accommodates 64 passengers and spans more than 100 feet, making it the world's largest passenger submarine. Atlantis Adventures now also offers excursions beyond submarine tours with semi-submersible and island tours. Semi-subs provide passengers with a view of the ocean from large windows placed opposite seats located below the ocean surface which makes it ideal for viewing shallow water reefs. These semi-submarines aka Seaworld Explorers are operated by Atlantis in Grand Cayman, St. Martin, Aruba, and Curacao.
