Magaluf - Party Paradise

Magaluf is a party paradise that lies on the Southern tip of the island of Majorca which is part of the Balearic islands, also comprising of Ibiza and Menorca. At just 25 minutes from the airport of Palma, Magaluf is not just a great base for exploring the wider surrounds of Majorca but the party capital of the island with some of the best nightclubbing in Europe.

Magaluf itself contains over 100 bars and nightclubs, all this is set to a backdrop of phenomenal beaches and azure blue seas; perfect for soothing those achy heads the day after a fun-fuelled night!

Despite the current high value of the Euro in comparison to the pound, you will find that drinks are not overly expensive due to the sheer volume of drinks promotions that awash the bars 24/7. Many of the big clubs lie in Magaluf's BCM square. Here you will find such venues as Coyote Uglys and Baywatch Show Bar. This is all set to a backdrop of terraced seating, live shows and entertainment on big-screen TVs making this spot the perfect place to mingle and meet new people.

A short walk from BCM square is the main strip. This is where Magaluf's party atmosphere really kicks in with most party-goers starting at one end and working their way down the strip through the multitude of bars and clubs and soaking up the broad range of music which isn't just restricted to the obligatory dance music but also indie and hip-hop.

By day the strip also has plenty to offer with a multitude of shops selling all manner of wares and beach-orientated items perfect for when you hit the beach!

The World's most expensive hotel room

What will £40,000 get you in this day in age? A fairly hefty deposit on a house? A top of the range sports car? Yep, both of these are worthwhile investments that are sure to bring hours of pleasure in the future. But how about spending all of that well earned buck on one night of pure, frivalous unadulterated hotel luxury!?

At the Royal penthouse suite of the President Wilson hotel in Geneva, the going rate for one night is a staggering 40k. In this one room, or should I say entire floor, you are treated to your own private elevator, four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a cocktail lounge and a terrace with lovely views overlooking Lake Geneva - "Not bad", I hear you say.
Well how about the marble and hardwood floors that adorn the exquisitely designed living space or the dining table that can accommodate 28 people?
Of course, all of this expense is backed up by incredible security as it is often used as a base for important diplomats and World leaders. Bullet proof glass comes as standard as well as the obligatory panic room should anyone dare infiltrate these Fort Knoxian esque digs!

With all this and so much more, it's little wonder that the World's most expensive hotel room upholds Geneva's reputation as one of the most expensive places in the World (or maybe it's just the exchange rate)

Devon: The jewel in England's crown

For many of us Summer is a time for escaping the UK and eloping to far-flung destinations in search of blazingly hot sunshine and bath-water temperature seas. But, in doing so these folk are missing out on a plethora of holiday destinations that lay right on their door-step.

Take for example the fourth largest county in England. Devon has so much to offer for those looking for a break that encompasses a wide range of things to do. Whether it is Blue-flag listed beaches, National trust protected moors or picturesque towns, this place has it all.

Of course, much of one's enjoyment on holiday lies in the state of the weather. With our current crop of unpredictable Summers, luck has a substantial part to play in the success of a holiday. But if you manage to time your holiday to Devon correctly then there isn't much better than taking in these fine landscapes whilst munching on Devon's most coveted dish - the cream tea!

For one of the grandest and most opulent cathedrals in the whole of England, you should certainly head to Exeter. As well as it's cathedral, Exeter boasts excellent shopping, underground caverns and nearby Exmoor and Dartmoor for your exploration. Devon's biggest city, Plymouth, is also well worth a visit; especially in the Summer when it hosts World famous sailing meets in it's exceptional harbour.

To the North of the county there lies a wealth of potential visiting places, from the pretty cliff edge towns of Lynton and Lynmouth to the beaches of Bude and Westward Ho! To the South lies the English Riviera and the pretty town of Torquay which is surrounded by the likes of Paignton and its famous zoo and Exmouth with it's huge beach and lovely esplanade walk.

It's little wonder why the county is also so popular with visitors from abroad, with many tourists enjoying the genuine freedom the county offers and the chance for exploration.

Pick the perfect city-break this Wedding season!

Yes! Wedding season is upon us once again.

This doesn't just mean Wedding Crasher esque hedonistic get togethers, family-fallouts and dream-like ceremonies, it also presents the chance for once-in-a-lifetime getaways and vacations that are heightened by thoughts of eternal bliss for newlyweds with their perfect soul mate (or something like that)

In this rundown of honeymooning options we present you with the best city choices where activities are plentiful yet travelling whilst there is minimal.....romance is optional

Las Vegas
The city that never sleeps provides you with a brash, bold vision of the American dream that should be tasted at least once in a lifetime; so who better to visit with than your new Husband or Wife? Hotel rooms are lavished with over-the-top décor and jacuzzis that have been set into the floor, presenting you with the ultimate in hotel room indulgence. Nearby you have the Nevada desert and the Grand Canyon providing you with a whole range of activities and sites that are perhaps unrivalled by any other North American city.

Paris
The most obvious choice on this list but for good reason. You can visit some of the most iconic romantic sites in the world, such as the Eiffel Tower and the Arc De Triomphe. You can bask in Paris' in-built romanticism as you stroll down the side-streets surrounding the Eiffel tower, stopping in one of the slick cafés for a spot of afternoon coffee. Paris really does have the affect of making you feel like a classical film star and as you head out for fine-dining Parisian style, you really will feel like you're living the lives of millionaire starlets.

Venice
The tiny Italian city offers the quintessential romantic trip in Europe. So small that it can be traversed on foot with minimum effort. The city's other major draw is the myriad of marvellous canals and the world-famous gondola trips, presenting you with a clichéd yet undeniably romantic jaunt along Venice's waterways. Once you've conquered the canals, take to the streets for picturesque walks and the Piazza San Marco where the grandeur of the Basilica di San Marco awaits.
