Discover Tenerife

Tenerife is the classic year-round Canary island retreat. Whether you go during the blazing hot summer months or during the balmy winters, you're sure to gain a little colour during your stay at this wonderous volcanic island! It's mix of strange, uneven landscapes and fabulous volcanic sand beaches make it an interesting place to visit for all and the great range of accommodation options and amenities for holiday makers combine to make this a comfortable, safe choice for a retreat.

There's plenty to do in Tenerife and something for everyone. For example, if you're looking to really immerse yourself in Tenerife's beauty you should certainly think about hiring a car for the day and heading into the mountains and into the stunning Masca Valley. Amazing views abound at every glance in this wide expanse of mountainous terrain and volcanic rock formations and if you're lucky, you may spot some of Tenerife's may types of reptiles scurrying around amongst the foliage. The ominous looking Mt Teide offers another great escape on your Tenerife holiday and is also well known as being the setting for movie scenes in Planet of the Apes and Clash of the Titans!

If you're more interested in family attractions then why not try out the fantastic Thai themed water park, Siam Park. Situated near Adeje, the park is easy to get to from most holiday spots on the island and is a cracking day trip for all the family with a wide range of slides for all ages and water-based thrills that will please all. The kids may also be interested in the Parrot Park of Puerto de la Cruz. With its huge range of exotic birds and exciting shows with trickster parrots, you'll be able to sit back and relax as the whole family takes delight in observing these fascinating birds.

Tenerife is also a haven for divers with many excellent dive centres located in the island's main towns. The best centres lie in the coastal town of Arona. In particular, Scubayaci has a great reputation for bringing along novices who lack confidence but would like to gain basic diving skills.

If you'd prefer to stay above the waves, why not take to one of Tenerife's many surf schools and learn to harness the power of the Tenerife's renowned seas! You'll find yourself standing atop a board in no time and will be able to impress friends back home with your new found ability (as well as that all important tan).
